The Essential Crew & The Comfort Lounge Pant, mid-rally
Play Pickleball in Pure Cotton, Not Plastic
Most sportswear is polyester. It dries fast, but it traps heat and smell against your skin while you play. Egyptian cotton breathes instead - and over a long rally, that’s the difference between staying cool and peeling a wet shirt off your back between points.
Is cotton any good for pickleball?
Yes, if it’s the right cotton. The knit on The Essential Crew lets air move through instead of sealing it in, so heat leaves and sweat dries off instead of sitting against your skin. You notice it most between points - in polyester you’re still stuck to your back at the line; in cotton you’ve already dried off.
Isn’t cotton too heavy for sport?
Ordinary cotton is, because it soaks up water and stays wet. Long-fibre Egyptian cotton is spun finer and knit looser, so it breathes more like a sports fabric while still feeling like cotton - light on court, never clinging.
What should I wear on court?
The Comfort Lounge Pant for the lower half - room to lunge and stretch without the waistband digging in. Pick a mid-blue shirt over white; it hides court dust, and the colour holds after the three or four washes a week a kit really gets.
The court pairing
One breathable shirt, one pant with room to move. Add a quiet colour that hides court dust.
It isn’t performance gear, and we won’t pretend it is
No compression panel, no synthetic shine - just everyday luxury cotton that holds up when you’re active. The same pairing works for a walk, a warm-up, or a yoga mat.
